Utopia – Revisiting A German State in America: Closing

City’s Mayor. Since then, it has traveled thousands of miles, through Bremen Germany, to Washington, D.C. and then finally to St. Louis, telling the exact same story it did the day it opened. Over 50,000 visitors have seen it since it began its journey, and the response has been fantastic everywhere it was seen. On Tuesday, April 14, our American Curator Dorris

Keeven-Franke will give her final “Tuesday Curator Tour” of the exhibit as she has every week. On Wednesday, photographer Folker Winkelmann will arrive from Germany and be available for tours and visits in the gallery each day from 10am-5pm. And before it is closed and packed up to return to Germany where it was made, we will have a final weekend and a last opportunity for everyone to meet the actual team of the Traveling Summer Republic that created this fantastic exhibit!

IMG_5254Here is the schedule of events for the weekend and we hope you can join us! As always, it is a free event at the Missouri History Museum in beautiful Forest Park.

April 15,16, & 17, 2015 Wednesday – Friday: The Traveling Summer Republic team’s photographer Folker Winkelmann will be in the Utopia Gallery giving tours- and sharing his wonderful art. Tours can be given in German. On Friday, April 17, Curator Dorris Keeven-Franke will join him in the Gallery from 10am – 1pm.

BlumenhofApril 18, 2015 Saturday – Blumenhof Vineyards and Winery 7:00pm  Auf Wiedersehen – everyone is invited for a farewell party.
