Announcing Author Rolf A. Schmidt’s AUSWANDERERLIED In English! A trilogy of historical novels which shares the story of the Giessen Emigration Society. This was the largest and most organized German immigration group to make their home in Missouri.

Part One – »The Call« tells of the narrowness and oppression of the absolutist Germany and the conspiracy of the rebels in the Giessen Emigration Society. Not only is the decision to leave the homeland difficult and painful – in Bremen they learn that there is no ship available for them.

Now available on Amazon as eBook and print edition, on September 15, 2021, $ 9.90. https://www.amazon.com/Auswandererlied-Part-Call-Rolf-Schmidt-ebook/dp/B09CLKYGLZ/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Auswandererlied&qid=1630164757&s=books&sr=1-1

The trilogy of novels by Rolf Schmidt comprises three works of facts and fiction. Since they are almost entirely based on historical sources, they have the feeling of factual reports. Excerpts from letters, documents and diaries are woven into the narratives.
