Gottfried Duden’s Farm

There is a proposal to turn Gottfried Duden’s Farm, now RockyVine Retreat Center into a Commercial Property for a Drug Rehabilitation Retreat, that will be heard on this Thursday, December 17, at 7pm in the Warren County Administration Building (101 Mockingbird Lane) in the EOC Room. The Public is invited to discuss this proposal, so please share with others who may be interested.

On November 23, 2014,  the exhibition Utopia – Revisiting a German State in America opened at the Missouri History Museum, bringing the fascinating story of the Giessen Emigration Society full circle and back to the United States.

Utopia – Its journey in photos

The exhibit Utopia – Revisiting a German State in America was created by the international team known as the Traveling Summer Republic in Germany. It first opened on November 1, 2013 in Giessen, Germany, then traveled to Bremen, Germany, and then to the U.S. where it opened in Washington, D.C., and then concluded its tour in St. Louis, Missouri.
