THE LEGACY OF THE GIESSEN EMIGRATION SOCIETY
A talk by Dorris Keeven-Franke, historian, author, and member of the Traveling Summer Republic, shares stories of what became of many of the members of the Giessen Emigration Society at 2:00 pm. at the Missouri History Museum in the Lee Auditorium on December 13, 2014. The program is in the Lee Auditorium and is free and open to the public.
Our special guests that day will be descendants of the original 500 members of the Giessen Emigration Society, as other events this day are also being planned with them in mind.
