On Sunday, January 25th, the Missouri History Museum will host the German Heritage Cultural Fest and bring Germany to life in their Grand Hall. The events will include the Schuhlplatter Dance Group [11am and 12noon], German Clothing Through the Ages by the St. Charles County German Heritage Club at 1pm, the Liederkranz German Singing Society (oldest west of the Mississippi) will present a concert at 2pm, and The Indelible Influence of the Germans will be presented at 2:30 in the AT&T Hall. Also that day there will be Family Craft Activities (12:30-3:30) in the Schnucks Learning Center, and a book signing by Dorris Keeven-Franke from 2-4 pm at the Museum Gift Shop.  Information on German organizations throughout St. Louis and St. Charles County will also be available at the information table.

On Saturday, January 31, at 9am, Missouri Germans Consortium invites German Language instructors to a mini-workshop on Utopia. If you or someone you know is interested, please register in advance and materials will be available. To register please contact the Missouri History Museum Reservations Office at 314.367.9017 or email reserv@mohistory.org.  Please mention any special accommodations and include your school & your grade level in any correspondence.Each participant should register individually.

On Wednesday, February 4, at 7 pm the St. Charles German Heritage Club will show the documentary Utopia – Revisiting a German State in America at the Stegton’s Regency Banquet Center. Documentary Trailer  The program is free and open to the public, everyone is invited.
