  1. Does anyone know anything about the “Arbeiter Kranken Unterstuetzungs Verein” of which my husband’s g-grandfather was a member in St. Louis in the late 1800s?

    • Looks like what today would be called a “fraternal society” with members paying dues and getting some protection from sickness or death expenses.
