This Friday, Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel is to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump.  It may be of interest to Missouri German Consortium followers  as it marks a major event in German-American relations. The visit had been previously scheduled for Tuesday, but the recent East Coast snowstorm caused officials to quickly reschedule the meeting.

    After Trumps horrible statements about Ms Merkel, I am amazed that she would meet with him. I have great admiration for her. Very little for him. Nevertheless, I wish him well for the good of our country.
